Vinted Fee Calculator

Free Vinted fee calculator for UK sellers: Vinted takes no selling fee, so see your payout and profit, plus what buyers pay in Buyer Protection and postage.

The sale

What the buyer paid for the item, before shipping and sales tax.

Optional: the postage your buyer paid at checkout. It buys your prepaid Vinted label, so it comes straight back out and your payout stays the item price.

Vinted settings

Neither pays a selling fee. It changes what your buyer pays: from a Pro seller, orders of £500 or more carry a 3% Buyer Protection Pro fee instead.

Your costs

Packaging only: the buyer’s postage pays for your label, so you don’t pay postage on Vinted.

What you paid for the item, plus anything you spent promoting it (Bumps, Showcase). Vinted pays out the full item price regardless, so this is where promotion spend belongs: it lowers profit without changing payout.

How to use the Vinted Fee Calculator

  1. Enter the sold price: the listing price or the offer you accepted.
  2. Leave shipping charged to the buyer at 0, or enter the postage the buyer paid: it buys your prepaid label and never reaches you, so it can’t change your payout.
  3. Enter what the item cost you, plus anything you spent promoting it (Bumps, Showcase), as your item cost, and any packaging as your shipping cost.
  4. Read your payout and profit, or enter the profit you want to get the lowest price to list at. Then check what your buyer will pay below.

Vinted fees in the UK in 2026

Selling on Vinted costs nothing. Vinted’s selling guide says there are no fees for selling and you can list as many items as you like, and Vinted Pro accounts for businesses are free as well: the seller’s fees on a £100 sale are £0.00 on a standard account and £0.00 on Vinted Pro. Vinted earns from the buyer instead. Every order placed with the Buy now button carries a Buyer Protection fee, and the buyer pays the postage, which buys the prepaid label you ship with.

The Buyer Protection fee, explained

Vinted’s How it works page puts the Buyer Protection fee at 5% + £0.70 of the item price. Its Help Centre is less fixed: the fee depends on the item, the order value and whether the order is a single item or a bundle, and is usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80, with VAT included. Every listing shows the exact fee in its price breakdown, and the checkout shows it again. Because of the fixed part, the fee weighs most on cheap items:

Buyer Protection fee by item price, at 5% + £0.70 and across Vinted’s usual range
Item priceAt 5% + £0.70Share of the priceUsual range
£2£0.8040.0%£0.36 to £0.96
£5£0.9519.0%£0.45 to £1.20
£10£1.2012.0%£0.60 to £1.60
£20£1.708.5%£0.90 to £2.40
£50£3.206.4%£1.80 to £4.80
£100£5.705.7%£3.30 to £8.80
£250£13.205.3%£7.80 to £20.80

The fee is worked out on the item’s or the bundle’s price, with one fixed amount per order, so bundles are cheaper for buyers to protect. At 5% + £0.70, three £5 items bought one at a time carry £2.85 of Buyer Protection; bought together as a £15 bundle, £1.45. Vinted says the rate can differ for bundles, so the checkout figure is the one that counts. For you it means one parcel, one label and a buyer who saved on fees.

Worked example: a £25 jacket, from both sides

You sell a jacket that cost you £8.00 for £25.00. These are the numbers the calculator above starts with:

Worked example for the seller, from sold price to profit
Sold price£25.00
Shipping charged to buyer£0.00
Selling fee (none: Vinted charges no fees for selling)£0.00
Buyer Protection fee (about £1.95 at 5% + £0.70, paid by the buyer on top of your price)£0.00
Payout from Vinted£25.00
Your shipping cost£0.00
Item cost−£8.00
Profit£17.00

Vinted takes nothing from the £25.00, so it pays you £25.00. After the £8.00 the jacket cost you, your profit is £17.00: a 68.0% margin. Your buyer sees a different total. Suppose the checkout shows £3.00 postage for their parcel size and carrier (an example: Vinted publishes no postage price list):

Worked example for the buyer, from item price to total
Item price£25.00
Buyer Protection fee (5% + £0.70)+£1.95
Postage (example)+£3.00
Buyer pays£29.95

The buyer pays £29.95, of which you receive £25.00: the £1.95 fee is Vinted’s and the £3.00 buys your label. That gap is worth remembering when you price against a shop or another app: your buyer compares totals, not your price.

What your buyer pays

Enter your price and the postage shown at checkout to see what a buyer pays in total. If a listing shows a different Buyer Protection rate, enter it under “Different rate on the listing?”.

Shown at checkout for the carrier the buyer picks; it depends on the parcel size and both addresses. £3.00 is only an example.

Different rate on the listing?

Usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80. From a Pro seller, orders of £500 or more pay a flat 3% instead.

What the buyer pays at checkout
Item price£25.00
Buyer Protection fee (5% + £0.70)+£1.95
Postage+£3.00
Verification+£0.00
Buyer pays£29.95

Bumps and Showcase: the only fees you choose to pay

  • Bump. Moves one item higher in newsfeeds and search results for 3 or 7 days, or until it sells. Vinted shows the price when you pay; it depends on the item’s price and the length. You can lower the price during a Bump but not raise it, and lowering it doesn’t refund any of the Bump.
  • Showcase (formerly Wardrobe Spotlight). Highlights up to 15 of your listings to the members most likely to buy them, for 7 days. You need at least 5 listings, and the price at checkout depends on how many you have and their value.

Both are paid when you buy them, not taken from a sale, so Vinted still pays out the full item price. Because Vinted takes nothing else, every pound spent on them comes straight off your profit: add it to the item cost field above to see what is left. A Bump earns its cost only if it brings a sale, or a better price, you wouldn’t otherwise have had.

Selling on Vinted as a business: Vinted Pro

A standard account is for selling your own things. If you buy or source items to resell at a profit, or sell as a business, Vinted requires a Vinted Pro account, which is free. The item rules apply to everyone: no new stock bought to resell, and no handmade goods on Pro accounts. What changes for Pro sellers:

  • Your buyers pay Buyer Protection Pro. On orders under £500 it is 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80; from £500 it is a flat 3%, so £18.00 on a £600 order, against about £30.70 at 5% + £0.70.
  • You are paid later. Payment is released 14 days after delivery, once the buyer’s right to withdraw has passed, and you can’t complete the order sooner.
  • You must accept returns. A buyer can return an item within 14 days for any reason and gets back the full amount paid, delivery included. They pay the return postage unless your policies say you will.
  • No bundle discounts. Pro sellers can offer bundles but can’t set a bundle discount.

When you get paid

An order is completed when the buyer presses “Everything is OK”, or 2 days after delivery if they report no issue. The money then reaches your Vinted Balance within 2 days, moving from pending to available. Money left in your balance is used automatically when you buy on Vinted. You can withdraw from £0.10 to a UK bank account, in pounds, and it can take up to 5 business days to arrive. Vinted’s withdrawal guide lists no fee for this. Vinted Pro orders complete 14 days after delivery instead.

Under the UK’s reporting rules for digital platforms, Vinted asks sellers who complete 30 or more sales, or sell more than €2,000 (about £1,700), in a calendar year to complete a seller report for HMRC. Completing one doesn’t by itself mean tax is due. This page isn’t tax advice: if you trade for profit, check with HMRC or an accountant.

Vinted fee changes

  • : checked every figure on this page against Vinted’s pages. How it works still quotes 5% + £0.70; the Help Centre describes the fee as varying, usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80, and Buyer Protection Pro as a flat 3% from £500.
  • : Vinted set out its rules on commercial selling: only Vinted Pro members may sell for a profit as a business, and every seller, Pro included, must sell second-hand goods.
  • : Vinted launched in Australia. The UK is connected with the US and Australia, so UK listings can sell to buyers there.
  • : Vinted Pay received a UK e-money licence from the Financial Conduct Authority, so it can start running UK members’ Vinted Balance and withdrawals.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Vinted take from a sale?

Nothing. Vinted charges no fees for selling, on standard and Vinted Pro accounts alike, so a £25.00 sale pays out £25.00. The buyer pays a Buyer Protection fee and the postage on top of your price.

How much is the Vinted Buyer Protection fee?

Vinted’s How it works page puts it at 5% + £0.70, which is £1.70 on a £20 item. The Help Centre says it varies with the item, the order value and whether it’s a bundle, usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80, VAT included. The listing’s price breakdown shows the exact fee.

Who pays postage on Vinted?

The buyer, always. They pick a carrier at checkout and the price depends on the parcel size and both addresses. That payment buys your prepaid label, which Vinted sends to your inbox and email; you must use it, or the order is cancelled.

How much does a Bump cost on Vinted?

Vinted doesn’t publish a price list. A Bump’s cost depends on the item’s price and whether it runs for 3 or 7 days, and you see it before you pay. Showcase is priced by how many listings you have and their value, lasts 7 days and needs at least 5 listings.

Does Vinted Pro charge fees?

No, Vinted Pro is free and selling costs nothing. Your buyers pay a Buyer Protection Pro fee instead: 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80 on orders under £500, and a flat 3% from £500. You are paid 14 days after delivery, once the buyer’s right to return the item has passed.

What should I list at on Vinted?

Your cost plus the profit you want, because Vinted takes nothing: for £20 profit on an item that cost you £10, list at £30.00. Your buyer then pays £32.20 with Buyer Protection, plus postage, so leave room for offers.

Does Vinted charge to withdraw money?

Vinted’s withdrawal guide lists no withdrawal fee. You can withdraw from £0.10, in pounds, to a UK bank account with an account number and sort code, and the money can take up to 5 business days to arrive.
