StockX seller fees in 2026
StockX charges its seller fees when an item sells. On the Verified Marketplace, where new and unworn items are verified by StockX, a US seller pays a transaction fee set by their Seller Level, from 9% down to 7%, plus 3% payment processing, both on the final sale price. The transaction fee is never less than $5.00, and a standard sale also pays a $5.00 seller shipping fee for the label to StockX.
| Fee | Rate | Charged on |
|---|---|---|
| Transaction fee | 9% (Level 1) to 7% (Level 5) | The final sale price |
| Minimum seller fee | $5.00 | Replaces a transaction fee below $5.00 |
| Payment processing | 3% | The final sale price, on every sale, Flex included |
| Seller shipping fee | $5.00 base rate | Standard sales; more for heavy items and packs, free at some drop-off locations |
| Flex storage | Free for 30 days, then $1.00 to $2.00 a month | Each item stored at StockX; $5.00 to return one |
| Debit card payout | 2%, $1.95 to $9.95 | Each payout to a Visa or Mastercard debit card |
| StockX Balance, PayPal, Venmo | No fee | Payouts, paid once a day for all completed sales |
| Listings Marketplace and StockX Live | No seller fees | Select sellers only; the buyer pays the shipping, except on Live giveaways |
Transaction fee by Seller Level
Your level is set by the sales you complete in a calendar quarter, counted in number or in US dollars, and sales on the Listings Marketplace and StockX Live count too. You get the lower fee the moment you qualify and keep it for the rest of that quarter and the whole of the next. Here is what each level leaves you from a $200.00 standard sale:
| Level | Transaction fee | Quarterly sales needed | $5.00 minimum below | Payout on $200.00 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 9% | no requirement | $55.56 | $171.00 |
| Level 2 | 8.5% | 12 sales or $1,500 | $58.83 | $172.00 |
| Level 3 | 8% | 40 sales or $5,000 | $62.50 | $173.00 |
| Level 4 | 7.5% | 200 sales or $25,000 | $66.67 | $174.00 |
| Level 5 | 7% | 800 sales or $100,000 | $71.43 | $175.00 |
Moving from Level 1 to Level 5 is worth $4.00 on this pair. Sellers at Levels 3 to 5 who fail to ship 5% or more of their orders in a month pay a penalty fee the next month for each unfulfilled sale, and a sale you can’t complete can change your level.
The $5.00 minimum on cheaper items
Below $55.56 at Level 1, 9% of the price is less than $5.00, so StockX charges the $5.00 minimum instead. On a $40.00 item that means $5.00 of transaction fee, $1.20 of processing and the $5.00 shipping fee: $11.20 in all, 28.0% of the price, for a payout of $28.80. StockX calls it a minimum seller fee. StockX doesn't say whether the minimum includes the 3% processing fee; this calculator applies it to the transaction fee only, with processing added on top, a reading of StockX's fee article, not something it states.
Worked example: a $200.00 pair of sneakers
You sell a pair that cost you $120.00 for $200.00. You are a Level 1 seller, you ship the pair to StockX with the standard label, and the payout goes to your StockX Balance. These are the numbers the calculator above starts with:
| Sold price | $200.00 |
|---|---|
| Shipping charged to buyer | $0.00 |
| Transaction fee (Level 1: 9% of $200.00 sale price) | −$18.00 |
| Payment processing (3% of $200.00 sale price) | −$6.00 |
| Seller shipping fee ($5.00 label to StockX, deducted from your payout) | −$5.00 |
| Payout from StockX | $171.00 |
| Your shipping cost | $0.00 |
| Item cost | −$120.00 |
| Profit | $51.00 |
StockX keeps $18.00 of transaction fee and $6.00 of processing, 9% and 3% of $200.00, and deducts $5.00 for the shipping label, so it pays you $171.00. After the $120.00 the pair cost you, your profit is $51.00: a 25.5% margin on the sale price. The buyer’s processing fee, shipping, duties and sales tax are the buyer’s to pay and are not part of your fees.
Standard sales or Flex
With Flex you send pairs to StockX ahead of time, where they are verified and stored, and StockX ships each one to its buyer. Since March 1, 2026 a Flex sale pays the same transaction fee and processing as a standard sale with no fulfillment or shipping fee, so the same $200.00 pair pays out $176.00 from Flex, $5.00 more than shipping it to StockX after the sale. Storage is free for 30 days and then charged monthly per item, so Flex suits stock that sells within a month. StockX’s own example: a $100.00 Level 1 Flex sale now pays out $88.00, up from $85.00.
How to pay less in StockX fees
- Reach the next Seller Level. Each level takes 0.5 percentage points off the transaction fee, and the lower rate lasts into the next quarter.
- Price above the minimum. Under $55.56 at Level 1 you pay the $5.00 minimum, so fees take a much larger share of cheap items.
- Use a StockX drop-off location. Depending on where you are, dropping a package off there can make the shipping free.
- Get paid to StockX Balance, PayPal or Venmo. A debit card payout costs 2%, up to $9.95 each time.
- Resell a recent purchase with No Fee Resale. A new, unworn item you bought on StockX can be sold within 90 days of delivery with no transaction, processing or shipping fees.
- Ship on time. Late or missing shipments can bring penalty fees, deducted from your payouts.

Frequently asked questions
How much does StockX take from a seller?
At Level 1, a 9% transaction fee and 3% payment processing on the sale price, plus a $5.00 seller shipping fee on standard US sales. On a $200.00 pair that is $29.00, so StockX pays you $171.00. At Level 5 the transaction fee is 7% and the payout $175.00.
What is the StockX minimum seller fee?
$5.00 in the United States. The transaction fee never goes below it, so it applies to sales under $55.56 at Level 1 and under $71.43 at Level 5. StockX doesn't say whether the minimum includes the 3% processing fee; this calculator applies it to the transaction fee only and adds processing on top. On a $40.00 item, fees and shipping take $11.20, or 28.0% of the price.
How do StockX Seller Levels work?
Your level is set by your completed sales, or their total value in US dollars, in a calendar quarter: Level 2 needs 12 sales or $1,500 for 8.5%, Level 3 needs 40 sales or $5,000 for 8%, Level 4 needs 200 sales or $25,000 for 7.5%, Level 5 needs 800 sales or $100,000 for 7%. You get the lower fee as soon as you qualify and keep it for the rest of that quarter and all of the next.
What are the StockX Flex fees?
Since March 1, 2026, Flex sales pay the same 9% to 7% transaction fee by level plus 3% processing, with no fulfillment fee and no per-sale shipping fee. Storage is free for 30 days, then $1.00 a month per item until 90 days and $2.00 a month after that; returning an item from Flex costs $5.00.
How much does StockX charge sellers for shipping?
StockX lists $5.00 as the base US rate for a standard sale since March 1, 2026 ($4.00 before), deducted from your payout. Heavier items and multi-item packs cost more, and some StockX drop-off locations ship for free. The buyer's own shipping charge goes to StockX, not to you.
Does StockX charge a fee to get paid?
Not to StockX Balance, PayPal or Venmo. A payout to a Visa or Mastercard debit card costs 2%, at least $1.95 and at most $9.95: $3.42 on the $171.00 from a $200.00 pair. A bank transfer can cost about $2.00 per payout, depending on the currency.
What should I list at on StockX?
Use “What should I list it at?” in the calculator. For $50.00 profit on a pair that cost you $120.00, the lowest Ask is $198.87 at Level 1 or $194.44 at Level 5, with the standard $5.00 shipping fee. The buyer’s processing fee, duties and sales tax are the buyer’s to pay, not part of your fees.
